Refund & Cancellation Policy

This page explains how refunds, cancellations, and subscription renewals work for paid Box & Found plans.

In short: you have a 14-day full refund window from the date of your purchase, you can cancel any subscription at any time from your account, and EU/UK consumers retain their statutory withdrawal rights regardless of anything else on this page.

14-Day Refund Window

If you're not satisfied with Box & Found Premium, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase, no questions asked. This applies to both the monthly subscription and the lifetime plan.

To request a refund, email human@boxandfound.net from the email address associated with your Box & Found account. Please include the order number from your Lemon Squeezy receipt.

Refunds are processed back to the original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days, and are issued through our payment provider Lemon Squeezy.

Refunds After the 14-Day Window

After the initial 14-day window, refunds are generally not provided for either plan. However, we'll always review individual cases — if you believe there's been a billing error, a duplicate charge, or that the service has failed to deliver what was promised, please reach out and we'll work with you to find a fair resolution.

Billing errors and duplicate charges Always refundable, regardless of how long ago the charge happened. Contact us as soon as you notice the issue.

Subscription Auto-Renewal

The monthly Box & Found Premium subscription renews automatically on a monthly cycle, on the same calendar day each month, until you cancel. The renewal amount is the same as your original purchase price (currently €2.99/month) and will appear on your card or payment method as a charge from Lemon Squeezy.

You will not receive a separate reminder email before each renewal. If you'd like to be notified, you can manage notification preferences from your Lemon Squeezy customer portal (link in any receipt email).

The lifetime plan is a single, one-time payment and does not renew.

Cancelling Your Subscription

You can cancel your monthly subscription at any time through the Lemon Squeezy customer portal. The link to your customer portal is included in every receipt and renewal email you receive from us.

When you cancel:

If you've lost the link to your customer portal, email human@boxandfound.net and we'll send you a fresh access link.

EU & UK Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer based in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a digital services contract within 14 days of purchase, without giving a reason, under EU Directive 2011/83/EU on Consumer Rights and the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

By starting to use Premium features immediately after purchase, you are expressly requesting that the service begin before the withdrawal period ends. You acknowledge that, if you exercise your right of withdrawal after the service has been substantially performed, we may charge a proportional amount for the use you've already had. In practice, since Box & Found Premium is a low-cost subscription, we honour withdrawal requests within the 14-day window with a full refund and no deduction.

To exercise this right, send a clear statement to human@boxandfound.net. A short email saying "I want to withdraw from my Box & Found Premium purchase" is sufficient.

Pricing & Taxes

Prices shown in the app and on checkout pages are listed in euros (EUR). Depending on your country, applicable VAT or sales tax may be added at checkout and is collected and remitted by our payment provider Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record for the transaction. The final amount including any tax is shown on the Lemon Squeezy checkout page before you confirm payment.

Free Tier and Local Mode

The free version of Box & Found (used without an account or as a non-premium signed-in user) has no charges and therefore no refund applies. You can continue using the free version indefinitely with no payment.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect when changes were made. For existing subscribers, any changes to refund terms will only apply to charges made after the policy update — your existing purchase remains governed by the policy that was in effect when you bought.
